My blog buddy Spazzy (Simone to you, LOL)! sent me this gorgeous card! As mush as i love the card, the message inside was amazing! Thank you so much, Spazzy! One of these days, I'm coming to Chicago, and we will get together, Connie too, and I can meet Max, aka "The Kid".
What a fun and busy weekend! I had a Christmas card class Friday night, a craft fair on Saturday and a Christmas card class on Sunday! Both classes were well attended! Thanks to all of you that came! I'm glad you all had fun!

I sponged chocolate chip ink lightly around the edges to soften it up. The main image is embossed with gold EP.
Di Hickman has posted her Wednesday card sketch. Lots of possibilities with this sketch. Problem is I keep coming up with ideas that use stamps I don't own (yet)!
OK, the colour LOOKS lavendar, but it's really bashful blue and ballet blue. Don't know how THAT happened!

My friend, Paula, over at Scrapping Buddies, is doing a 12 Days of Christmas challenge. You can find the challenge HERE. Each day she will issue a challenge for a Christmas/Holiday card in hopes of inspiring us to get our cards done early...or at least on time! We are already on day 4, so here are my first 4...
Challenge 1~Traditional Red and Green
I used my Season of Joy set for this challenge. I like the simplicity.
Challenge2~Swirls
The swirl is from Season of Joy, the sentiment is from Very Merry Messages. Paper is Imaginessence, card stock is River Rock. I embossed the swirls and sentiment with clear EP.
I used SU Lavendar Lace, Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac as my colour pallette. The stamp set is New Fallen Snow from CTMH.
I don't know who makes this paper. I cut strips at different lenghts to create the tree. The sentiment is from Season of Joy. The card stock is Always Artichoke (SU).Another Wednesday, another card sketch by Di Hickman! As soon as I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what set I wanted to use! (It's also nice to take a break from Christmas crafting).

One of my customers asked me to create some samples with her set Punch Pals, and this is one of the cards I made. I actually really like it, even though it's pretty simple. It would make a good workshop card.

Acc: sponge, stampin' dimensionals
Technique...I sponged soft sky all around the outside of the white panel. It kinda looks like snow. The soft sky penguin was cut out and popped up with stampin' dimensionals.
I made my first LARGE card. It measures 8.5" by 4.25". I used my 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches (SU) to cut out the circle images from the paper and pop them up with stampin' dimensionals. The card stock is Kraft and Very Vanilla (SU).
Wow, what a busy week! I had a Stampin' Up workshop Friday night in Cornwall and one Saturday in Ottawa. I spent Thursday evening preparing for them. Today, I am catching up on house cleaning. This morning, I tackled my scrap area, specifically my table. It was so piled up with paper, stamps, ink, etc...that I could not see the table! Mike is doing the laundry. I love him!
While in Ottawa yesterday, I stopped in at a new scrap store called The Scrapbox. It is small, cute and has a friendly atmosphere. I also got to stop and have a little visit with my friend Sherida.
I have more projects to post so come by tomorrow!

It is dark and rainy here today, so there is no natural light, so I apologize for the dark photo.
OK, Saturday was an AWESOME day! I went to an all day crop and had so much FUN! I kept awesome company and made 3 LOs and 12 cards. I also stepped out to cut my hair off...this growing it long was not working out and the hair was annoying me all morning, so off I went to get it chopped.
Paula was sitting beside me and she brought her sewing machine and stitched on 2 of my LOs. I LOVE the way it looks!
Sunday, I did nothing. It was lovely. Well, except for my horrible ear ache. Mike ran the dishwasher, emptied it and put them away, PLUS he did 2 loads of laundry. PLUS he made supper. He's a pretty great guy.

These cards were inspired by a card I got in Corie's Christmas Card swap...I forget which artisit it was...I *think* Mellisa...
I used Wintergreen paper and Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss card stock and Always Artichoke ink. The stamp set is Season of Joy.
It's funny, when I first saw this set in the Stampin' up mini catalogue, i did not care for it at all! now i use it all the time!
Well, I'm glad Halloween is over. I have been doing Halloween projects since August! We only had 100 kids last night, less than usual, and a lot of kids I did not recognize.
