Manhatten Floral

This was one of the cards we did at my card class last weekend. I used the Manhatten Flower embossing folder for the background and the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set on the main panel. The colours are Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.

Mermaid

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting at my friend Linda's house. She had this adorable card she received in a swap and I just had to make my own version!
She is made completely out of punches with green chunky glitter as her body.
Head and body...1 1/4" circle punch
body...large oval punch
hair...scallop circle punch
tail...5 petal flower punch.

What a party!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Stampin'Up! meeting hosted by Kim Assaly. She was one of the Workshop of a Lifetime winners and had Shelli Gardner (the CEO of Stampin'Up!) do a workshop for her. Well, as generous as Kim is, she organized a meeting for area demonstrators and customers. We were all able to meet Shelli and her daughter Sara, have photos taken, swap cards with each other, and eat delicious food. Oh...and 4 lucky people walked away with incredible door prizes: a Big Shot, a set of clear blocks, a Colour Caddy and a Circle Scissors Plus with glass mat! We also had 4 wonderful make and takes! These kind of events take quite a lot of planning and organizing, so hat's off to Kim for a terrific evening!
Did I take photos? why, yes I did. Why aren't they posted? Well, I'm still having issues with my memory card. So instead I am posting a card I made using the Thoroughly Modern DSP and hope to have my issues sorted soon!

More!

More cards I created on Friday night at Emma's. I used Fifth Avenue Floral for both cards. Kraft cardstock paired with Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay...great colour combo!

What I did yesterday

Yesterday, and last night until 10:00pm, I was at Auntie Em's (my local scrapbook store) and created several cards. Here are just 2 of them.
I still have so much Thoroughly Modern paper left (p. 163 of the Idea Book and Catalogue) and I'm trying to use up my bits and pieces. I really love the colour combo of this line. I also used the bird cage image from the Happy Moments Sale-a-Bration set (p.5 of the Sale-a-Bration catalogue) Above, I used the muted Soft Suede shades and below I added the Bermuda Bay.
I was very productive yesterday, making 12 different cards for the store's display, and creating 8 different cards for myself. I will post more in the next couple of days!
Thanks for stopping by!

In the "I need to use this more often" category...

I haven't used this robot set since I made my display board samples with it last year! But I needed to create cards for a Mommy and Me class, so out came the robot set.
I practiced with the little boy that comes to me after school...he made this one. I learned that the aluminum foil can be a little tricky for tiny hands...it gets crinkled when handled too roughly. So I think after the kids run the big shot, I'll get the moms to pull it off and set it on the card base.
So...I still cannot get the pictures to load off my memory card...but I hear Caroline has posted updates and photos on her Stampin'Palooza blog, so you can head on over there to check them out if you want. After seeing myself in one of the photos, I've decided this short haircut with no bangs looks hideous on me, and that pink sweatshirt makes me look fat. (yes, it's the SWEATSHIRT that makes me look fat...just nod your head in agreement).
