Summer Mini Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Summer Mini catalogue Blog Hop, brought to you by the fabulous stampers at Stampin' Addicts! I am stop # 8 of this fantastic tour, where you will be sure to find loads of inspiration using NEW product from the Summer Mini catalogue! You will begin at one blog, and "hop" to the next blog until you completed a 25 post circuit. You probably came to me from Joyce's blog, stampincentral, where she created samples using the Mostly Vintage stencil.
I am showcasing the cool new alphabet set called Rough Type, found on page 28.
I hope you are inspired!

I love this card! I especially like the shredded up, torn ribbon! I used Extreme Elements and Extreme Skateboard as well as the Rough Type alphabet.

The card above also uses the mini vintage tags on page 15, and the stamp set Elements of Style on page 12. I also used the Big Shot lattice die and cut it in half.

The motorcycle card was inspired by a card I saw on someone's blog, but I can't remember whose. As soon as I find it, I'll link it here to give credit to the original designer.

So you're next stop will be Dawnmarie at DM Dezigns where she is doing great things with the Presto Patterns DSP! Enjoy the rest of the tour!

More from NavCan weekend

I had a few people email me that they wanted to see more of the 62 cards I created on my weekend away at NavCan. So, I am posting 3 more. Everything I created that weekend used other product besides SU, but I usually incorporate SU in each card...either with punches, ribbon, stamps or embossing folders, and I ALWAYS use SU cardstock and ink! So, can you pick out the SU product on each card? LOL!
I used a lot of my scraps that weekend, too. It amazes me how much I can create by using my scrap strips of paper.

On Sunday, I got together with friends, who used to be in my Stamper's Club. One of my friends, Rachel, made up these cards for us using the Hoppy For You set. I like the layout of this, which she copied from one of the Idea Book and Catalogues...the catty sample used Man's Best Friend with the weiner dog on one side and the fire hydrant on the other...anyway, I thought it was great that she took a sample from the book and made her own card using her own colour combo and a different stamp set. This is one of the reasons the catalogues are such a great value...you'll never be stuck for ideas!
The Idea Book and Catalogue sells for 10.00, or you can get one FREE by hosting your own workshop! Visit my website for more information.

Oh, what a wekend!

This past weekend I went to the NavCanada conference center for a weekend of stamping and scrapbooking FUN! Emma, of Auntie Em's (my local scrapbook store) put together this weekend for us. We had a blast!
I was able to make 62 cards. Above are just 2 of them. I know I usually put SU only cards on my blog, but I just couldn't resist this pretty paper!
I am expecting my Summer mini pre order this week so I'll have more to post later this week.
Thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies

After seeing so many interesting projects using this Lattice die for the Big Shot, I finally broke down and bought it. I complemented it with butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die and Wonderful Wings embosslit. The paper is leftover from the Night and Day DSP. I used Crushed Curry and Basic Black card stock.
