Vintage Versailles

Hello from hot and muggy Ontario, Canada. I just finished creating this card using the Very Versailles and A Little Lace stamp sets from Stampin' Up! and I am in love with it. Does that ever happen to you? You make something and it turns out better than you expected and you just fall in love with it?
I am usually not a vintage girl, but this set is so fun to play with.
Let's take a look at the card:

The colours I used are Smokey Slate, Basic Grey, and Petal Pink. I also used the Lacy background die to create the scalloped edge. To see how I made this card from start to finish, check out my you tube video.

Here is a close up of the ribbon. I used the Petal Pink striped organdy ribbon and made a bow. Then I used my heat tool to crinkle it up. I LOVE how it turned out.

Vintage card using Pressed Petals

I decided to use some product that is really outside my usual style, and is rather vintage-y. I bought the Pressed Petals designer series paper and specialty washi tape, and it came today, so I decided to see what I could come up with. The washi tape is cool in that it is all individual petals that you peel off and use to create a flower.

As you can see the petals come together to form a flower. I added the perennial essence floral center.

Butterfly Wishes

Today I spent time creating with the new Butterfly Wishes distINKtive stamp set. The detail in the distINKtive stamps is amazing! The trick is to not over ink your images. Some people use daubers to ink the stamps with, but I had a hard time doing that, so I used my stampin' write markers. Here is the finished card:

The markers I used on the branch are:
-Poppy Parade
-Soft Suede
-Old Olive

For the butterfly, I stamped it with Daffodil Delight, then used Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede markers to add colour to the ends of the wings.

Floral Essence and Rococo Rose

I am in love with the new catalogue! Especially the layout, where all the bundles are shown at the beginning of the catalogue.
You can see how this card was made on my You Tube channel.
For this card I used the Floral Essence bundle, and 2 of the new In Colors; Rococo Rose (#150080) and Terracotta Tile (#150086), with Pear Pizzazz  (#147104)for the leaves.
It doesn't show it in the catalogue, but the leaf punch  (#144667) fits the leaf in this stamp set!

I added the Perennial Essence Floral Centers (#149442) to the center of the flower, and it gives that extra dimension. Plus, it is a great tactile feature...fuzzy, like flock.
The sentiment is from another new stamp set called Here's a Card (149438). I stamped it, then cut it out with the Stitched Nested Label die (149638).
I like the colour combination as well. The Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile go well together.
