Our Littly Kitty Lily

My LSS, Auntie Em's, was having her annual inventory sale with 25% off the entire store. I picked up some paper, card stock, adhesive and chipboard (you know, the staples!). This whole paper line is Kitty's place by s.e.i. and is just so CUTE and colourful!
I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched all over this page. My friend Paula stitches all the time on her LOs and I was inspired!
Lily adopted one of the Christmas gift boxes as her new bed.

Oh, scary kitty...

Oh, Emma, you are so frightfull! LOL!

Emma likes to sleep on the top bunk bed. I took these photos of her during one of her 12 hour naps. Her big yawn looks so scary, doesn't it?

The paper is Basic grey figgy Pudding, the card stock is bazzill bling, the chipboard letters are from maya road and the title is done with my new favourite thing, the American crafts mini marks rub-ons.

Oh, give me some figgy pudding

I was doing my daily blog roll, and saw that Di Hickman posted her Wednesday card sketch. I haven't done one of Di's sketches in a long time. So when I saw all the layers, I KNEW I waould use my Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper. (I'm down to less than half a sheet each pattern).
I wandered away from the sketch a bit (as I'm known to do) but ocverall, I'm happy.

Winter Layouts

Winter is good for at least one thing....taking awesome photos! (If you click on the photo, you will get a bigger image to see the detail).
I am really into clustering photos on LOs lately...I think that comes from visiting Leena's blog. Her pages are FAB!
I used Gel-a-Tin's Retro Snowflakes and random-stamped them in Ballet Blue ink along the side. I also stamped CTMH Christmas Script words along the photos. The 2007 was stamped onto navy card stock and cut out. The chipboard snowflake was inked in Night of Navy. The card stock is Bazzill bling in light blue and SU Night of Navy. This LO uses Bazzill bling cardstock in navy and light blue. I love the sparkle this card stock has! The snowflake transparancy is from Hambly. I picked it up at Scrap En Masse in Alfred. The top photo of Kaleb is under the transparancy, so it looks like Kaleb is in a blizzard, and the other photos are on top of the transparancy. The title was stamped using CTMH The Works alphabet. I used some words from CTMH Christmas Script and stamped on the photo and transparancy with black StazOn.

Tagged Again!

I have been tagged by so many lately, like Angel, Sam and Sue, so I guess i'd better play, huh? LOL!
Seven Random Facts About Me...
1-Like Angel, I have Webkinz. I have 15. The first was a l'il Kinz Elephant I named Marshall and the most recent is the Collie I named Colleen. I like to play Webkinz at night for about an hour, just so my mind can have a break.

2-I love TV. I really do. Among the shows I enjoy: So You Think You Can Dance, Lost, CSI (all), Criminal Minds, The Class, Two and a Half Men, Dirty, Sexy Money, Cane (I am in love with Nestor Carbonell who plays Frank), The OC...I'm sure there's more.

3-I love to read. The last book I read was Roots by Alex Haley and I read it in 2 days.

4-I love to stamp. (D'uh)

5-I would be lost without the internet. Once, the internet was down for one day and I almost lost my mind.

6-I hate driving.

7-The only good thing I like about Winter is the awesome photographs I can take. Nothing else about this season is even remotely pleasing.

Nursery Necessities

I got my SU preorder on Friday and I LOVE everything! I mounted the stamps and started stamping right away! I think my favourite is the Nursery Necessities set with the matching wheel and star punch! Here are 3 different cards using the 3 items I just mentioned. Enjoy!

Fun Game and BLOG CANDY!

OK, I JUST thought of a fun game! See that photo of my table in my last post? You need to look at that photo to play this game! It is open world wide.
OK, there are tons of stuff on that table. You will need to answer these questions to win. (You can cheat and just post the answers based on the comment before you, but what fun is that? Plus, whose to say they are correct?) So this is basically based on the honor system. Look at the photo, answer the questions, and I will pick a winner.
A winner? But what can you win?
Well, I haven't decided yet, cause I JUST thought up this game, literally like 3 minutes ago. But I am going shopping tomorrow, so I will post a picture then.

Questions:
On my scrap table, tell me:
-how many pairs of scissors?
-how many stamp sets in cases?
-what colour markers?
-what colour wide grosgrain ribbon?
-how many loose stamps?
-what colour craft ink?

My scrap table?

I'm pretty sure my table is under there somewhere!
On my sidebar, you will see a photo of my scrap space...when it is clean. I thought I'd post a picture of what my table usually looks like! LOL!

Peaceful Wishes

There are some stamp sets that are so versatile, you can keep creating brand new designs time after time. For me, Peaceful Wishes is one of those sets. I bought it last year and did my Holiday cards with it, and this year I'm still enjoying creating with it! And I usually get bored so easily! LOL!
Here are some cards I made recently, one for a Stamp-a-Stack and one for a customer. Same set, totally different look!

In a world of cheap machine coffee...

I love this coffee set. As soon as I saw the sentiment, I had to have it!
"You're the mocha latte in a world full of cheap machine coffee."
LOVE that!

I've been RAKed!

I recieved this beautiful card from Colleen a couple of weeks ago, but I was asked not to share it until now, as she used a technique that she was going to be teaching it on one of her design teams. I LOVE the background! This festive Christmas card is from Flossie. It is my first holiday card of the season! I am loving red, green and white for Christmas this year!

Thanks for sharing your art with me! It is so fun to get beautiful cards in the mail!

Holiday Trio

I got my new Dashing paper from Stampin' Up, and paired it with the Season of Joy set.

The first card was inspired by the paper line ki memories put out about 3 years ago...even La Senza had PJs in these colours! I used my word window punch from SU to create the, well, word window, and I used heat and stick powder and glitter over the words. This heat and stick powder is really cool, and keeps the glitter from falling off. Why have I not used it before now?

Snowflakes for Di

Di Hickman has posted her Wednesday card sketch. Lots of possibilities with this sketch. Problem is I keep coming up with ideas that use stamps I don't own (yet)! OK, the colour LOOKS lavendar, but it's really bashful blue and ballet blue. Don't know how THAT happened!

If I had a thousand dollars...

I have been tagged by Sam.

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?
I would choose embellies!
-We R memory keepers Whipe Out rub-ons
-chipboard books
-SU jumbo eyelets
-Maya Road ribbon
-silver and black brads
-adhesive

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose?
Oh, stamps! I just bought myself the Gelatins Retro Snowflakes!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year, which would you do?
CARDS! I love making'em!

4. Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home (can’t have both hee hee).
My own room!

5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style?
I am really enjoying "clustering" my photos. Is that a style? Otherwise I am definitely linear!

I am supposed to TAG 5 other people but most of my blog buddies have been TAGGED already...so, if you want to play, consider yourself TAGGED!

12 Days of Christmas

My friend, Paula, over at Scrapping Buddies, is doing a 12 Days of Christmas challenge. You can find the challenge HERE. Each day she will issue a challenge for a Christmas/Holiday card in hopes of inspiring us to get our cards done early...or at least on time! We are already on day 4, so here are my first 4...

Challenge 1~Traditional Red and Green I used my Season of Joy set for this challenge. I like the simplicity.

Challenge2~Swirls

The swirl is from Season of Joy, the sentiment is from Very Merry Messages. Paper is Imaginessence, card stock is River Rock. I embossed the swirls and sentiment with clear EP.
Challenge 3~Non-Traditional Christmas Colours
I used SU Lavendar Lace, Almost Amethyst and Lovely Lilac as my colour pallette. The stamp set is New Fallen Snow from CTMH.

Challenge 4~Trees
I don't know who makes this paper. I cut strips at different lenghts to create the tree. The sentiment is from Season of Joy. The card stock is Always Artichoke (SU).

Happy Penguins

One of my customers asked me to create some samples with her set Punch Pals, and this is one of the cards I made. I actually really like it, even though it's pretty simple. It would make a good workshop card. Stamp sets: Punch Pals, Many Merry Messages
Card Stock and ink: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky
Acc: sponge, stampin' dimensionals
Technique...I sponged soft sky all around the outside of the white panel. It kinda looks like snow. The soft sky penguin was cut out and popped up with stampin' dimensionals.

And now for something completely different...

I made my first LARGE card. It measures 8.5" by 4.25". I used my 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches (SU) to cut out the circle images from the paper and pop them up with stampin' dimensionals. The card stock is Kraft and Very Vanilla (SU).

Sunday Sum-Up

Wow, what a busy week! I had a Stampin' Up workshop Friday night in Cornwall and one Saturday in Ottawa. I spent Thursday evening preparing for them. Today, I am catching up on house cleaning. This morning, I tackled my scrap area, specifically my table. It was so piled up with paper, stamps, ink, etc...that I could not see the table! Mike is doing the laundry. I love him!
While in Ottawa yesterday, I stopped in at a new scrap store called The Scrapbox. It is small, cute and has a friendly atmosphere. I also got to stop and have a little visit with my friend Sherida.
I have more projects to post so come by tomorrow!
