Daisies

I have scoured the net looking for the original card that I got this idea from, and I can't find it. It was a gorgeous card, so much so that it made me buy the scallop oval big shot die and daisies #2 big shot die. Yes, 50..00 I spent so I could replicate the card I saw on someone's blog, and now I can't find it!
Deets:
stamps: All Year Cheer, Dreams du Jour
ink: Regal Rose
card stock/ paper: Love Sparkles scrappin' kit, Regal Rose, WhisperWhite
accessories: Big Shot Scallop Oval die, Big Shot Daisies #2 die, Big Shot Butterflies die, whisper white brads, stampin' dimensionals

Friends 24-7

These 3 cards I made this weekend feature the stamp set Friends 24-7 found on page 81 of the catalogue.
This set is far from my usual style, but I know my mom will like it and since she and her friends buy a lot of cards from me (to support my addiction...er, hobby...I mean my business) I figured I'd get a lot of use from it.
I chose Baja Breeze and Kraft as my colour palate. My friend Barb uses Kraft all the time, I never thought I'd like it, but I LOVE it...especially with Baja Breeze. I also used the Kraft taffeta ribbon, which I also love. (I'm just in a loving mood today). Oh, and I used a Baja Breeze corduroy button.

Awesome Weekend!

I had such a productive and fun weekend! I taught a make and take and I got 35 cards made, plus I completed a Design Team project. The above are just 2 of the cards I made. The first one uses this Mojo Monday sketch and the Cheep Talk set. The second one uses the Thought and Prayers set.
I will post more of my creations this week. Good night!

Away for the week-end

I am stamping and scrapping all weekend long! Twice a year a group of us get together for a weekend at a local training/convention facility. I only live a 15 minute drive away, so I don't spend the nights there, but my friends do. I am really looking forward to this. Hopefully I will have lots to share with you on Monday!
Meanwhile, I am still struggling on the last 2 stamp sets to choose as my freebies. (I know, horrible dilemma, huh?) If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know in your comment. So far my list is:
-Varsity Alpha
-Cheep Talk
-Just B
-On Your Birthday
-Cute and Cuddly

I do not want any other alphas as I have the ones I like already. So any suggestions except alphas.

Just B...creative!

This set, Just B, has been in the past few catalogues but I never gave it much thought until my downline got it in her starter kit. She has been kind enough to lend it to me. This first card is my favourite so far, incorporating the Big shot Top Note Die and new scallop oval punch. The background panel was actually run through with the texture plates (diamond pattern) but is hard to see here.

B is for butterfly as seen on this last card. The colour combo used on this card, and the one directly above, uses my fave "in colours": Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red. Yep, Just B (page 140 of the catalogue) is definitely on my list! (I get to choose 7 any priced sets absolutely free-thanks SU!)

Look at that...a whole week in a row of blogging. I am on a roll!

Trendy Trees

Trendy Trees and the matching wheel, Funky Forest, (page 91 of the Idea Book and Catalogue) were the first sets I purchassed from this catalogue back in January. I love the versatility of these trees and the 2-step stamping technique. For exact match-ups, you could use the stamp-a-ma-jig, but I free-handed this one.

Found while "blurfing"...

I LOVE everything about this card. I found it on THIS blog by Brenda. This is one of my favorite stamp sets and I love the Parisian Breeze paper. The 2 ribbons add the perfect touch.

Love the birdies!

See, 2 posts in 1 week! I promise to keep it up. Now that I am no longer working, I will have lots of time.
I LOVE the set Cheep Talk on page 90 of the catalogue. I don't own it (yet) but it will be one of my free sets that I earned during Sale-a-Bration. In the meantime, I borrowed my downline's.
The deets:
Set: Cheep Talk
card stock: Pacific Point, Summer Sun, Whisper White
ink: Pacific Point, Summer Sun, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red
accessories: top note die, dimensionals

Bunny Bag Topper

So I've seen so many different toppers on Splitcoaststampers made out of various punches and Big Shot dies, that I decided to try one of my own. I came up with this bunny made mostly of punches.
The head and cheeks are made with Big Shot scallop circle #2 die in Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette.
The ears are made from scallop oval and large oval punches in Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette.
The eyes are made of 1" (white) and 1/2" (black) circle punches and the eyelids are made with 1 1/4" (pretty in pink) circle punch cut in half.
I cut the whiskers and teeth freehand.
