I made this for a sketch challenge and I used the purple and yellow combo showcased in the Stampin' Success magazine. I pulled out Circle Circus that I haven't used in so long. I liked this card so much, I made 4 as thank you cards to have on hand.

Ice Cream Cake Birthday

I was going through my paper tonight and came across the remains of this old designer series paper...it just screams BIRTHDAY! to me. I like the look of tempting turquoise matched with gable green...it reminds me of spring.
Both of the sets I used on this card are from sets you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-Bration. They are A Little Birthday Cheer (p.138) and Birthday Bliss (p.71)

A colour combination

In this month's Stampin' Success (the free magazine Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive every month), they have featured this colour combination: Purple and Yellow. This is not a combination I would ordinarily use, so I thought, "what the heck, let's try it!" and I am LOVING the way this turned out!
Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst, So Saffron
I [Heart] Hearts, Vintage Vogue
Heart embosselet
Heart punch
scallop border punch
modern label punch
magnetic movers and shapers
So Saffron ribbon from last year's sale-a-bration

So now it's your turn...give this colour combination a try. Try different hues of purple and yellow.

Sketch Challenge

This is based on the sketch challenge at Stampin' Addicts...SASC38.
I used the pretty Sending Love designer series paper and the stamp set Vintage Vogue. I topped it off with the Heart embosselet (I LOVE this thing!) and used the modern label punch to cut out the sentiment.
Thanks for looking!

Taken With Teal and Pumpkin Pie

I am really enjoying this colour combination. When I first saw the neighbourhood houses in the sale-a-Bration brochure, I knew I had to have them! Then today I received the matching paper...too cute! I had to make something right away!

I can't come up with a witty title

Yes, I'm using up more scraps that are laying around my desk (lazy scraps). I decided that pink and red are not the only colours for Valentine's Day...Old Olive seems to fit in quite nicely. And who says this has to be for Valentine's day? Why not just because I love you much? Any day of the week?
So there.
I am really enjoying the bird punch and the heart embosslet. Funny, because when I ordered them I wasn't sure I would really love them, but I wanted to have them to show my customers. Just goes to show you...
I don't know what it goes to show you. I'm just rambling now. I wonder how many people actually read to the end of my posts anyway? LOL!

First post of 2010!

OK, so the scan is way off...after several attempts to get it straight, this was the best I could do.
But look at the pretty paper! I used only scraps that I had laying on my desk for this card. The chocolate chip JUST fit on the scallop die. The L was left over from the scrapbook page I did, and the hearts were extras I had on my desk. The paper strips were left over from the scrapbook page, also.
Well, I'm off to conduct my first workshop of 2010. I have 6 booked this month. Tonight we are making 2 cards featuring the new set With All My Heart from the Occasions mini. You can see all of the new product online by clicking the links on my sidebar. Don't forget, you can order online too...just click the button at the top of my page!
