We had to say good-bye again...

Nicki was diagnosed with Diabetes in January. She was actually doing really well in that aspect...then last week we brought her in due to an increase in fluid in her abdomen. Cell samples were taken and the news was bad...Cancer.
Today, as i looked in her eyes, i knew it was time. Her abdomen was swelling again, and her eyes told me she was done.
Mike and I brought her to the vet, and her doctor was able to administer her shot, and say good-bye to her also.

This photo was taken in January.

Bumper Cards

This is such a cool idea from Geeta. See, I got tagged by Corie, so I need to send a handmade cards to 5 different people-could be neighbors, fellow bloggers, co-workers, anyone. Now, I tag 5 fellow bloggers and each of them will send out 5 cards and tag 5 people...and so on! Pretty cool, no?

True Friend Joy Fold Card

I love the designer paper from the Hostess Level 3 pack...(I know, it's not worth a level 3, but I loved it and wanted it!)I used Groovy Guava as the card base, added the designer paper, then added Soft Sky for the sentiment panel. I used the medalion from Baroque Motifs as an accent and added a bling brad. The sentiment
reads, "Friend...A true friend is someone who says nice things behind your back."

Colleen's Throwdown in Soft Sky

I'm still not too sure about this colour yet...it's so pale. Colleen's challenge was to pick a colour and go with it. I chose Soft Sky because I do not use it much. This card design was one my friend Sherida came up with only she did hers in Groovy Guava and white. I added the bling brads for added interest.

Batty For Halloween!

This is for Jen's challenge (Pieces of Me)...we were to make a matchbook style card.
I found this Halloween paper at Auntie Em's (my LSS) and used the bat stamp from the set Batty For You. Made the scallop edge with my corner rounder.

How do you store punches?

I need suggestions...ideas...How do you store your punches? I do not like them in a drawer or bag because I have to rifle through everything to find the one I want. I saw an idea where the punches were hanging off a dowel...I like that but i do not know how to build that. All ideas, suggestions welcomed...except storing them in a drawer! LOL!

Have a Big, Bold Birthday!

I love this Big Bold Birthday set. It is so fun to work with! Then again, I am a bold image kinda gal...not much of a colourer. (Someone who is a GREAT colourer is Maria Bell! WOW, her creations are stunning!)
I also used the designer paper Cutie Pie. The colours are Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Purely Pomegranite.

Genuine

I am so anamored with the whole BoHo-West line Stampin' Up has designed. The Outlaw paper is YUMMY, very masculine and the stamp sets are awesome. Plus I finally have a use for the Sage Shadow card stock that I hated until now!
This card used the set Bronc Buster. I stamped the Genuine stamp with Chocolate Chip on Sage Shadow and cut around it and layered on the main image.I used the sponge dauber around the main image. I cut out the star, put a brad in it, and popped it up with a glue dot. Finally, the main image is popped up with dimensionals.
I used the Outlaw designer paper with Sage Shadow card stock.
The scallop was made with my corner rounder.

Party On!

I added the set Block Party to my order at the last minute. I am so glad I got it! It goes so well with Big Bold Birthday!
I stamped the Block Party and frosting in chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear EP. The frosting is popped up with dimensionals.
Stamps: Block Party, Big Bold Birthday
Ink and CS: Groovy Guava, Chocolate chip, Vanilla
Acc: Groovy Guava double-stitched ribbon (LOVE this ribbon! It feels so wonderful!)

NOTE to my swap group: This is NOT my swap card! LOL!

Thank You, Nancy Grant!

I recieved this pretty card from Nancy thanking me for the blog candy she won! How sweet! The stamps are from paper Trey. Great card, Nancy!
Nancy's blog is Inkcicles.

Tagged Again!

This time I was tagged by Malieta!

Seven more random facts:
-I love toys. (I've blogged about my Littlest Pet Shop and Webkinz addictions...uh, hobbies before). I had toys growing up, so it's not like I was deprived, I just really like to play!

-I used to be so skinny...my whole life, right up until I turned 30. Then I started to gain weight...and now I'm 160 pounds (I'm 5' 5" tall). Is that fat? The thing is, most of the time when I look in the mirror, I don't see myself as fat. The odd time I'll say, "Whoa! I should only have ONE chin!"

-I love to read, but the problem is when I start a book, I need to read it til it's done. So I can read a novel in 5 hours. My faves are James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman, Jeffrey Deaver, David Badallucca.

-I drink Pepsi everyday. maybe that has something to do with my fat?

-I LOVE Chineese food. But not actual Chineese food, the Americanized Chineese food that we get in Chineese retaurants. LOL! (yeah, probobly contributes to my fat).

-I hate to drive. I'll do it if I have to, but usually DH drives. he LOVES driving.

-I know the script of Monsters Inc by heart. The whole script. ALL parts.

I just tagged 7 people not long ago, so I won't do that! LOL!

Free Stuff!

Just kidding! I couldn't think of a title for this post so I thought I'd freak everybody out! LOL!
I made this for SC132 over at Splitcoast Stampers. VERY different for me. I have a hard time with triangles. But I can do ANYTHING with Baroque Motifs! It's a magic stamp set!
Paired Purely Pomegranite with Soft Sky and off-set with black. (Black makes anything look good).

Lavendar Lace

No challenge, no sketch, just me. I do not remember the name of this stamp set and I'm too lazy to go downstairs to look. Dusted off my watercolour crayons to colour the image. Used Canvas on the background. Tore a piece of Buckaroo Blue and stamped Canvason it, as well. Added the Lavendar organdy ribbon to soften it up.

Jen's Sketch

I made this using Jen's sketch (Pieces of Me). This was a really fun sketch to follow! All supplies are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise stated.
Stamp Set: Baroque Motifs, All Year Cheer
Ink and Card Stock: Purely Pomegranite, Blue Bayou, Black
Accesories: 1/2" circle punch (guard removed) for scallops, CM cutting system, black brads

This is Jen's sketch:

Cupcakes

I made this card for Greg's sketch challenge. I dusted off my rarely used Treat Yourself set.
You can't really see it, but the top of the cupcake is fully glittered.
I used a scallop square and ribbon that I got in a RAK from CaramelSue on Splitcoast Stampers. Thanks, Sue!

And this is Greg's sketch:

Joy Fold Card

I finally got around to doing Beate's challenge-a Joy Fold card. You can find Beate's tutorial here. I used the paper from Sentimental Journey pack (SU) that I bought and totally forgot about. It's actually really nice paper!
I will send this to my friend Sherida before she leaves for Convention!

Friendship Blessings

This was made for Colleen's Thursday Throwdown. We were to use her sketch to create a card. I used paper and brads from CTMH and the sentiment is from the set God's Blessings by Stampin' Up.

Scallops Everywhere!

The colours are from SCS Colour Challenge 121. While making this card, I decided to do Beate's Weekend Sketch at the same time! I just learned how to use the circle punch to make scallops (yeah, I know...I've been under a rock) so I used it to make the scallop circles! LOVE them! Used the slit punch for the panel, though.

First Challenge of the Month!

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! I went to my friend Sherida's and scrapped the day away on Saturday, went to a Bar-B-Q on Sunday and went back to Sherida's on Monday for more scrapping!
Got back into my blog routine this morning and got caught up with everyone's posts. Decided to try Jen's sketch challenge over at Pieces of Me.
