Sweet Baby

When I first saw this stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalogue, I knew I had to have it!

The moon is all glittered up (sorry Hillary Clinton) and looks very sparkly.

I have been SO BUSY looking for a job during the day, babysitting after school, then working on my demo display samples (I am making 13 of each design for 13 demos) that I have been neglecting my blog and I am truly sorry! All will return to normal on March 1 (my birthday) when all my samples will have been completed and delivered, and hopefully I will have a job!

Friendly Flowers

First, let me clarify something about the 48 cards I made at the weekend crop. See, I designed 4 cards and made 12 of each. Not so impressive now, is it? LOL!

This is one of the 4 cards I designed using the new set Friendly Flowers and the jumbo wheel Lots of Dots (these will be available in the upcoming Occasions mini available March 1).

This colour combo thrills me: Taken with Teal, Old Olive and Purely Pomegranate. Will definitely use it again!

Tart and Tangy

I had such a fabulous time at NavCan this past weekend! There is truly nothing better than scrapping and stamping with friends!
I managed to get 7 LOs done and 48 cards completed. I made 12 each of the following:
I used the new sets, Tart and Tangy and Phrases for a Friend plus the new designer paper Summer Picnic (these will be available in the Occasions mini available to customers March 1) to create this Scratch ans Sniff card. To make the scratch and sniff powder, you'll need sugar free drink mix and embossing powder. I used orange Kool Aid and Glassy Glaze EP. You mix 1 part drink mix to 2 parts EP.
Again, I used the pretty Summer Picnic paper and Tart and Tangy set for this card. I LOVE this colour combination!

Away for the weekend!

Hello blog buddies!
I am all set for my big weekend away! I leave at 3:30 this afternoon and I won't be back until Sunday around supper time.
I am going to be scrapping/card making/creating all weekend long! I'm sure I will have lots to post when I get back.
Have a great weekend everyone!

College exam is OVER!

We left for Belleville at 4:30 am...yuck! A 2.5 hour drive took 4.5 hours...not because the roads were particularily bad, but because we were following snowplows for an hour! We were doing 40 km/hr at the MOST!
In any case, we arrived safe and sound and I began my exam at 9:15. Each section is a timed section and there were 7 sections. The total time was 5.5 HOURS! YUCK!
I am so glad it's over!
I did really well, I think...except for the math and mechanical sections. I will have the results by next Wednesday.
Thanks for everyone's encouraging words on my "back to college" adventure.

Weekend Getaway

I went away for the weekend...slept at my friend Jen's Friday night and my friend Trina's Saturday night and came home Sunday morning. I enjoyed a great weekend of stamping! The fun thing about stamping with friend's is using stamps I don't have!
I made this card at Jen's. I used Simply Said, Whimsey wheel and a new Sale-a-Bration set which I don't know the name of. The colours are Taken With Teal, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.

Heart boxes

So for someone who doesn't do Valentine's Day, I have certainly created enough projects! Actually, this is a Wedding Favor, not a VD project, but it could work either way! The only treats I had on hand to put in were chocolates left over from Christmas, but let's just imagine these are filled with wedding goodies, OK?

Details:
cards stock: Whisper White
ink: basic black
stamps: forever flowers wheel
acc: mellow moss taffeta ribbon

Valentine's Treats

Remember all that pretty paper Connie sent me? Well, I finally felt the urge to create some valentine treats. now I don't have as many botfriends as Connie (LOL) but I do have a special weekend crop coming up and I have made enough for all the ladies attending.
These are scaled down pocket cards with a heart shaped sucker inside. I used the scallop punch, 1 3/8" circle punch and 1 1/4" circle punch to create the "covers" for the suckers. Details: (besides the paper, all products are from SU)
Paper: Target
Card stock: Real Red, Pink Passion, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Stamps: In My thoughts
Acc: scallop punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, red grosgrain ribbon, white grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals, corner rounder

I used the stamp set Embrace Life and actually water coloured the flowers. Usually, I am not proud of my colouring "skills" but this one turned out pretty good. So i made a bunch to have on hand for Thank You cards.

Card stock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
Acc: Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals, aqua painter

Some scrapbook pages for my DT

So Tina gave me a bunch of paper and asked me to make some scrapbook pages. The Rock Star paper is really fun, and I asked my cousin David if I could print off some of his old band photos for these layouts. This is David and his band After the Fact performing at Barrymore's in Ottawa in 1988.

Then I was asked to use this paper and I printed off more pictures of Stephanie's puppy, Bruno. I LOVE this LO!
I also had paper left over and made some cards with it, but I'll let that be a surprise for her, as I know she reads my blog! (Hi Tina! I'll be by tomorrow!)
