Morning Glory

I decided I needed to try new things...new styles. So I bought the Morning Soft set. I am actually very pleased with my water colouring on this one. I guess practice does make perfect! LOL!
I thought I would use this for Mother's Day, but it kind of looks like a sympathy card to me. I bet this set would look great in the cracked glass technique! Oooh, I'll have to try that!

Stamp Sets: Morning Soft, Sanded
Card Stock: perfect plum, basic black, whisper white
ink: black StazOn, perfect plum, mellow moss, always artichoke
acc: aqua painter, black brads
NOTES: I used the aqua painter and my ink pads to water colour the image.

Penguin Party

A guy at my work asked if I could make his girlfriend a birthday card with a penguin theme. This is what I came up with. The first penguin is popped up. Inside it simply says Happy Birthday with another penguin stamped inside. I also stamped penguins along the flap of the envelope.

I'm still here...

I am still breathing...just barely! LOL! This cold has taken over my body.
The job is hard on me. By the time I get home, eat, clean up, it's already 7:00pm. By then I'm too tired to create.
I really miss stamping every day. *sigh*
So I MADE myself create tonight. I used a set I've had for a week and not used yet!

Stamps: Pun Fun
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
CS/Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Picnic designer paper
Acc: Olive poly-twill ribbon, pumpkin grosgrain ribbon

I am SO sick!

OK, I did day care for 11 years...hardly ever got sick! I thought I had a pretty awesome immune system to put up with years of sick children. Then one week at a call centetr and BAM!
Holy wow, I'm sick. Friday it was all sinus headach and sinus pressure, with aching bones. I went to bed right after work and slept til 10:30 the next morning. Went back to bed at 3:00pm and slept til 10:00pm...got up, had tea, went back to bed and slept til 11:00 this morning. My body has gone from sweating to chills. And now I have no voice (which is a blessing to some, I'm sure).
So, I will again be off to bed shortly. I just wanted all my blog buddies to know I am not ignoring you. I will hopefully get into a new blog routine soon. I will likely be doing all my blogging in the pm, instead of the am now.
Ah, changes...aint it grand...
*sigh*

Sunday Sum Up

I haven't done a Sunday Sum Up in a long time! (OK, I haven't exactly been blogging lately...)
People often ask, "What's your favourite movie?" and I can never think of an answer. But after having watched Mr. Holland's Opus for like the 21st time, I have to say it is my favourite movie. I cry every time. Have you ever seen it? If not, then go rent it. Yep, right now! There's a video store open somewhere!
Mr. Holland's Opus is my most favourite movie!

March already?

Holy cannolli, February just flew by! Of course, I was so busy, I didn't even notice.
I begin my new job on March 10 as a Bell telephone customer representative. Hopefully only until June, when I begin my Dental Hygienist schooling! I will be notified this week to find out if I was accepted (but I'm pretty sure I am).
Last night, I sat down and stamped just for me. Not for the demo orders, not for a class, not for a workshop prep, but just for me. It was my 37th birthday, after all! This is what I made. It's funny, I didn't like Embrace Life at first, and if I hadn't earned it for free I probobly wouldn't have bought it, but I really like it now. It is just so soft and feminine. And this Ginger Blossom paper is GORGEOUS! I am going to play around with it some more today.
