More Convention Photos

This post is for Tyler, who I think still reads my blog, but if not, maybe Maureen or Rachel can direct him here? :)
See these next 2 photos? The ones with the guys in them? Those are demonstrators. Sure, the first one, Spencer, he works at Stampin'Up, but he's also a demonstrator.
The second photo...that's Kevin. He's been a demonstrator for 15 years. See all that bling on his lanyard? Those are pins from past conventions, leadership, promotions, etc...that's a lot of bling. Also, Kevin's son is now a demonstrator, too.
And finally, that's Max. Yep, he's a dog. His human is a demonstrator and she comes to every convention with Max. He's the most photographed male in the place!

So, Tyler, if you want to come to convention with me next year, and be treated like a GOD, (as the male demonstators are), then let's talk! I've got a starter kit with your name on it! :)

Found inspiration on Julie's blog

While I was blogsurfing, I visited my friend Julie's blog, and she has posted this totally gorgeous Christmas card made with the Level 2 hostess set and paper we got at Convention. Her card totally inspired me!
HERE's her card.
Here's mine.
As you can see, it's not exactly the same. But her card completely inspired me to make this card. I LOVE that paper, and it is available in the Holiday Mini catalogue, available to customers September 1st. If you want to be able to view this mini and pre-order from it, why not join my Stamps Around Town team? Being a demonstrator has lots of benefits, including pre-ordering!

more photos

Some card samples from convention that use the new fabric that will be in the new Holiday mini!

I was so inspired by the beautiful things Shelli and Sara made using the new fabric. I can hardly wait to pre-order on August 1st.
I also want to welcome Jeannette T. to my team!

Some photos from Convention 2010!

A photo with Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin'Up!

There was a recruiting fair at The Gathering Place. One of the games was to spin the wheel and get a prize.
This was all the free stuff I got for going to Stampin'Up! Convention 2010. This following photo is a close up of the surprise goodies we got on the very last day, just before convention ended. The last photo is me with all my free stuff. We really do get treated very well!

Tomorrow, I will upload more photos, including some of the amazing projects that were featured on main Stage!

FINALLY! An update from convention!

hello everyone! I know, it's day 2, where are the updates, right? Well, I just got access to a computer! I cannot post pics yet, but I will update you all!
HERE'S a pic of me walking on stage for my 5 year anniversary...posted on Dina Anker's facebook.
I am having so much fun! I love Salt lake City, and this year's convention has been full of GREAT new promotions; some only for convention attendees such as myself, and some for YOU...the customer!
The biggest announcement so far is the new HOSTESS promotion! If you book a workshop, and have sales of 450.00 (or more), not only do you get a free catalogue, free level 2 hostess set, and the FREE product shopping spree, you will also get an EXTRA 35.00 in FREE product! That is so exciting! It's almost double the hostess benefits!
Here's the thing...you must hold a workshop before August 31. But I know there are some of you out there just dying for the new product from the catalogue, so I know this is not a problem...the sooner we get those new stamps and awesome new punches and accessories, the better, right?
In our so totally cute retro convention bag, we got our free stamps sets and wheel that we will use for our make and takes, the 2010 convention pin, catalogue and MINI catalogue. This is my favourite Holiday mini so far, and seeing all the amazing projects that have been created with this stuff...especially Brent steele's hallowe'en creations from this morning's General Session, has got me so inspired and my creative juices flowing! I can hardly wait til August 1 when I can pre-order everything.
As I wrote in my newsletter, this is my 5 year anniversary with Stampin'Up! and as such I am offering a one time discount of 5% off all orders emailed to me by July 25. I am also drawing for the free Hostess set. If your order is over 200.00, you will get full hostess benefits. I will process the orders on monday July 26.
I have lots of pictures...including 3 of my cards that made it onto the convention display boards! (whoot!) as soon as I get home, I will be able to download them onto my computer and post them.

Swap Card #2

So, I decided to cut and stamp every thing I needed to make this card, and assemble them (25 of them) at O'Hare...after all, I have a 3 hour layover there. I am also bringing extra card stock, ink, my trimmer and adhesive to make 25 other cards. That one will have to wait to be posted.
So, I'm packed, and all set to go. I guess it's off to bed now!

Convention swap card

This is the card I made for the swaps at convention. What are swaps? Well, we design a card front and make as many of them as we want (I have 45 of these, only because I ran out of Pacific Point card stock) and other demonstrators make their card fronts, and we trade with each other. This is a great way to get new samples and new ideas! And a really fun way to meet new people! It's so much fun.
I used the new set Aviary and the new background stamp called Pretty Pattern. The colours I used are Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Old Olive.
So, I'm ALMOST ready for convention...still packing. LOL! My flight leaves at 7:17 am, so I have to get up at 4:00am! The worst part, I have a 3 hour layover in Chicago! So I won't get to Salt Lake City until 2:30. :(
I found out that my friend is staying at the same hotel as me, so I will likely bump into her often. I also can hardly wait to meet my room mates! I roomed with the most amazing girls (Hi Angela and Dawn!) in 2008 and we had a blast!
I will try to update while I am there.
Thanks for looking!
