My latest Christmas card

I made this using the beautiful Pines and Poinsettias stamp set from the mini catalogue. I used these markers to colour directly on the stamp: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. I added a bit of glitter to the pine cones.

Now, here are some Christmas cards I made using my Copic markers to colour. I just love the blue-green tones.

Stocking card

I am loving the new stocking die for the Big Shot! I used it make this card, which opens from the top. I also used the Holly Berry DSP as the accents on the stocking. The Holly Berry buttons are a perfect match and the Early Espresso quilted ribbon finishes it off! I am loving this Holiday mini catalogue!

Sneak peek again!

I was away all weekend at my friend's cottage and was not able to post on Saturday. I did make over 40 cards this weekend, though! This blue snowman uses new In Colours of Pool Party and Island Indigo and the new stamp set Snow Much Fun. It's hard to see in the scan, but I sponged all around the snowman.
Only 4 more days til the new catalogue!

Fabric Flowers

I have been busy making fabric flowers using the new Flirtatious fabric (it matches the Flirtatious Designer Series paper). These are available in the NEW 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue, available July 1st!
I am going to put these on a card, which I will upload later today, so stay tuned!

New In Colours sneak peek

Whoa! Twice in one day! I created this card just now. It uses the new hostess set Array of Sunshine and the new In Colours Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Lucky Limeaid. The main flower has been cut in 3 layers and popped up with dimensionals. I need to tweak it a little bit, maybe move the flower towards the center a little bit. But overall, I like it.
Thanks for looking again! :)

Teacher Thank you cards

A friend asked for 2 teacher thank you cards and this is what I came up with. I used the builder wheeler and the Elementary Alphabet and For Teacher wheels from the Summer mini. I just love those apples!
Have a great first day of Summer!

Isn't this snowman so cute? He is from the NEW Idea Book and Catalogue available July 1st! As demonstrators, one of the perks is ordering new product a full month before the release date. LOVE that!

Spring card

I think they call this a tent topper card...(?)
This is one of the projects for tonight's Stamper's Club. I used the Springtime Vintage DSP from the mini. My fave butterflies from Great Friend, the leaf sizzlet, Scallop Circle #2 die, scallop circle punch and 1 3/8" circle punch round off the list.

Funky Four

Again, I am having scan issues...
Hello everyone! I made this card using the flowers from Funky Four (page 93 of the catalogue) which was one of my FREE saleabration choices. I used the word thanks from the Fabulous Phrases set (page 149). I like the colours quite a bit and made a bunch of these to have on hand.
Saleabration is almost done! Contact me if you want free stuff!

In distress!

We will return you to your regularly scheduled Stampin'Up! program shortly...for now we are watching Tim TV, the monochromatic channel.

I crackle painted!

I think the blue is my fave. Which one is yours?

Purple passion

Stampin'Up purists, this post is not for you. :)
I recently began watching what I call "Tim TV"...video demos by Tim Holtz. I was very interested in trying some product, so went to my LSS and bought some Tim Holtz stuff. I played around for a bit with my favourite technique where I crinkle the card stock, rub the Distress Ink over top, spritz with water then watch it blend...so pretty when done with this gorgeous purple called Dusty Concord. I then blended with a light purple called Milled Lavender. A perfect combination. What's great about the Distress Inks is that they react with water to create gorgeous designs.
I stamped the chandelier with black Archival ink (my new fave black) then embossed with black powder. I also used the Archival ink to stamp the damask pattern along the side and bottom. I distressed the edges a bit and matted the chandelier image on Concord Cruch card stock (from SU) then again on Basic Black card stock (also SU). Both ribbons and bling are from SU. The Concord Crush ribbon and card stock match perfectly with the Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

Here is the inside of the card. It is for my neighbour Julia who turns 14 today.
Thank you for looking.

a little vintage

Another card I made last Friday night...very vintage. I used the Love Letter designer paper. The flower was made using the Fun Flowers die...I scrunched up all the petals and secured with an Antique Brad.

thank you for being you

Every second Friday night I go cropping at Auntie Em's (my local scrapbook store). I always have fun and I am usually creative. Last night was a huge surprise because they celebrated my birthday (which was March 1) with a SCRUMPTIOUS cheesecake (it had caramel in it!) and a beautiful azalea plant. That's the second time I was surprised for my birthday, because my stamper's club members also gave me a party on club night...and Maureen made a to-die-for homemade cheesecake with chocolate sauce! I was spoiled with a pretty silver necklace, enough tea to last my life and homemade preserves.
I am lucky to have met such great friends...all thanks to Stampin' Up!
Now to the card...made last night using Circle Circus and Bold Blossom. I used the pretty Springtime Vintage buttons from the Occasions mini. I crimped the bottom of the card, because it needed something there. Punches are large oval and scallop oval.
Have a great day!

Stamper's Club projects

This is project 1 of 3 we will be doing at Stamper's Club tomorrow night. It is the emboss resist technique. On glossy card stock, I used Versamark to stamp En Francais and the butterfly and bee from the Nature walk set. Then I brayered Pear Pizazz ink over it to reveal the images. Maybe we can add a bit of Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the butterfly...thoughts?
I will upload the other 2 projects once I design them. :)

No title comes to mind...

I'm not sure what to call this one. I used Broadsheet Alpha for the background, my FREE saleabration set Funky Four (the tree) and the sentiment from Trendy Trees. I added buttons and ribbon.
Thanks for looking!

A birthday card for Jen

Ok, so the scan is a wee crooked, but after a few attempts, this was the best one.
I made this for my friend's birthday. Minimal layers, the way she likes. I used the new Vintage Springtime designer paper from the Occasions mini catalogue. I made the flower using the Fun Flowers die and I scrunched up the petals...added vintage brads to finish the card.
Thanks for stopping by!
