Creating with Sketched Butterflies

I know I said I was over butterflies, but when I saw this new Sketched Butterfloies bundle (#163492) in the new Stampin'Up catalogue, I fell in love with it. The way they are designed, they truly look "sketched" with a pen, and they stamp out beautifully. For the first card I showed in my video, I used Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party as my colour scheme. Cut your card base at 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/4". Cut your Pool Party panel at 5 1/4" x 4" and run through the die cut machine using the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder (#163789). Using circle dies, I used Spotlight on Nature #163580, cut 2 seperate circles out of Lemon Lime Twist and Basic White. Stamp your sentiment n Basic White. Stamp your butterflies with Lemom Lime Twist ink (#147145) and die cut them. Now adhere all your elements to your card, layering the 2 circles slightly, and popping up 2 of the butterflies with dimensionals (#104430).

You can embellish with Dots For Days adhesive back dots for some extra "oomph". The second card I showed in my video uses designer series paper from the soft subtles collection (#163776). Choose 3 different patterns and cut one at 1" x 4 1/4", another at 1" x 4 1/4" and the last colour at 5/8" x 4 1/4". Cut Basic White at 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Adhere the DSP strips to that Basic White piece. Cut a Thick White (159229) at 4 1/4" and score at 5 1/2" so it opens top wise. Adhere the panel to the card base with dimensionals. Stamp out 2 butterflies using Fresh Fresia ink (#155611) and die cut them. I used the Spotlight on Nature circle dies for my sentiment that I stamped with Smokey Slate ink (#147113) and the 1 3/4" punch (#119850) to cut a piece of Fresh Fresia and layered both circles. Adhere your elements to your card. I added Fresh Fresia dots from the Rainbow adhesive backed dots collection (#162758).

Friends For Life!

After taking part in an online event featuring this Friends For Life stamp and die bundle, I decided to create my own cards, but with a pastel feel. This suite comes with some very pretty designer series paper in the Brights collection, and I love to experiment! My colour choice is Pretty in Pink, Pool Party, and Lemon Lime Twist.

this bundle comes with quite a few sentiments to go with the friend die. There are also multiple dies for cutting hearts and sprigs, and other shapes. I especially like the "thinking of you" sentiment.

Cutest Onesie bundle

In tonight's Facebook Live I showed how to create this adorable baby card using the Cutest Onesie bundle, #163740. It is found on page 64 of the Stampin Up annual catalogue. The colours I used are Peach Pie cardstock (#163799), Pool Party cardstock (#122924) and white cardstock (159276). I also used the cute Eyelet 3D embossing Folder (#163414) found on page 129. I stamped the onesie image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (132708) found on page 131. I coloured my onesie images with the following blends: Pool Party (#154894),and Lemon Lolly (#161673) plus stamped a onesie on dsp from the Lily Pond Lane dseigner series paper (#163342) found on page 45. I cut the images using my Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine (#149653) found on page 56.
So now that the onsies are cut, it's time to assemble our card. Adhere the eyelet embossed card panel to the Pool Party mat, then adhere to the Peach Pie card.
Remeber, the stamp and die bundles, incluing the Cutest Onsie that I used today, are an EXTRA 10% off the already discounted price. ALSO...the cut and emboss machines, both the regular size and the mini, are 10% off. This is for the month of June! Wildflower Design Bundle (on sale)

During my facebook live tonight, I shared the cards I made with the new Wildflower Designs bundle (#163334). For the month of June, all bundles in the Stampin Up catalogue are an additional 10% off the already discounted price! These dies are unique in that you can use the positive and negative die cuts to create these cards, so there is absolutely no waste! For my first card, I cut Lemon Lolly cardstock (#161720) at 5.5" and scored at 4.25" (standard A2 size). I cut White card stock (# 159276) at 5.25" x 4" and embossed it with the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder (#163483). I cut the largest die on Lemon Lolly cardstock, the scallopped die on Pool Party cardstock (#122924), and the smallest die with white cardstock. For the first card, I am using the "outside" (the positive) of the die cuts; the "inside" (the negative) will be used on the second card.

I stamped the flowers with Lemon Lolly ink (#161666) and Pool Party ink (#147107). I stamped the crosshatch pattern with Lemon Lime Twist ink (#147145) directly on the white die cut. I also sed Pool Party ink for the sentiment and die cut. I glued everything down, made a bow with Linen Thread (#104199) and glued that down, then used dimensionals (#104430) to adhere the sentiment. I finished it off with the Dots for Days embellishments (#163779).
I decided to use the negative die cuts for my second card. I cut thick white card stock at 5.5" and scored at 4.5" I used the largest die and cut directly through the front of my card. Then I layered the other die cut pieces in the mddle of the cut out, on the inside of the card. So you open the front of the card, with the front cut out, and the layers are on the inside of the card. I used the small die to cut a pool party piece that I stamped thank you on, in a random pattern. It will layer on top of the other Pool Party piece. Stamp and die cut the flowers and adhere to the card.
Please watch my video to see exactly how the cards were made. All these items can be purchassed through my online store! Thanks for stoppong by!

Creating with a Colour Palette

On today's Facebook Live, I demonstrated how to create this card using the colour combination of Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, and Coastal Cabana. I love these colours together! This card used the stamp and die bundle of Thoughtful Expressions, found of page 47 of the Stampin Up annual catalogue. I love using the circle dies from Spotlight on Nature to create a focal point.

I also created a second card using the same colour combination with the Racing By stamp set, page 87 of the annual catalogue. I added a few embellishments with the dhesive backed Dots for Days, found on page 115. To purchase these products, and many others, shop my online store! https://www.stampinup.ca/?demoid=1002798

Creating with Around We Go bundle!

My huge catalogue order arrived and I always get overwhelmed by it all. Where do I start? What do I make? Well, this time I immediately knew I wanted to use this stamp and die set with the Lily Pond designer series paper! The bundle is called Around We Go and comes with a bunch of different types of circular dies. The Lily Pond paper has great patterns that coordinate perfectly. I used Pretty in Pink as my card base and ink colour. The card base is cut at 5.5" and scored at 4.45". The Basic White is cut at 5.25" x 4". I cut different circles out of 3 patterns of Lily Pond designer series paper and 3 coordinating card stock colours: Pretty Peacock, Smokey Slate and Pretty in Pink. Once I figured out the design, I glued everything down. I stamped the sentiments and used a die to cut out the Hip Hip Hooray and popped that up with dimensionals. I finished it off with Going Gray self adhesive dots.

Spotlight on Nature

On Saturday I was at an all day crop that I organise 4 times a year. We are between 10 and 20 people that get together and craft. Some do scrapbook pages and mini albums, some make cards. We enjoy creating together. I chose to play around with Spotlight on Nature. These pretty flowers and leaves stamps do not have matching dies, so the scissors got a work out! I coloured my flowers with Flirty Flamingo blends, and the leaves with Old Olive blends. I added the splootches in Early Espresso. The wood grain came from the stamp set Textured Timber, which can be found as an online exclusive. I embellished with linen thread and the sparkly In Colour gems! To add texture to the paper, I roughed up the edges with my scissors.

You can purchase these and many other products by visiting my on line store! Thanks for looking, please leave a comment.

Incentive Trip to Mexico

What an amazing week it was! I earned the Stampin' Up incentive trip to Xcaret Resort near Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and it was INCREDIBLE! The first day I enjoyed lunch with Brenda Quintana and her family. Spent some time exploring the resort, then that evening was our Welcome party, with amazing food and great entertainment! Day 2 we had General Session in the morning, where the 2026 Incentive Trip was revealed...Alaskan Cruise! Then I spent the day at the pool, and the evening at one of the parks, Xenses. Day 3 was Xel Ha, a water themed park. I met up with Debra and Deave harrison and their friends, and spent the rest of the day with them. That evening I had supper with Scott Nielson and his wife Pam (as part of the Leadership Team) and the Las Cuevos restaurant. Day 4 was a rest day, at the pool and swim up bar. Last day, I went to Xcaret Park, to see the animals. Visited the aviary, the butterfly pavillion, and the aquarium. Then SU treated us to an amzing show called México Espectacular Show. Then we got to eat, drink and chat at the After Party! This trip was incredible!
