I have been busy with Convention swaps, but took a break to post something new, that I won't be swapping at Convention. I love this set, C is for Cat, and the pretty Cottage Wall DSP. I also used the Lots of Tags die, which is quickly becoming a favourite!
Well, back to my swaps. I can't believe I leave in 5 days!
There's a thread over at Splitcoaststampers about the Taken With Teal ink pad. So all the talk got me thinking about this colour combination. This stamp set was the one sitting on my desk, so it was the one I used. I used my Taken With Teal marker, Rose Red and Chocolate Chip. I embossed the background with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Sizzix Texturz plate called Backgrounds 1. I also used my new favourite die from the Lots of Tags set and paired it with the modern label punch. A little bit of glitter is the "icing on the cake"!

So pretty soon I'll be giving this set back to it's rightful owner. I have been having a lot of fun with it. It's called Cheers to You on page 62 of the Idea Book and Catalogue.
To make this card, I stamped the background with Circle Circus. The colours are Soft Suede and Crushed Curry. I used Liquid Applique to make the foam on the beer.
So there was a challenge set forth by my blogger group to create a card by CASEing one from the catalogue. I chose to CASE the sample on page 62, only I used Falling Leaves and changed the colours.
While I was at it, I created another card using the same colours and stamp set. I also really like the new jumbo wheel Bright Blessings.
So here's a colour combination I would have never imagined...but I actually like the purple thrown in there.
I am having so much fun playing with my new stuff!

I really enjoy the Fifth Avenue Floral set, but I keep calling it Manhatten Flower! Last year, when the Manhatten Flower Decor Elements came out, I immediately thought, "I wish there was a stamp set like that." and then POOF, next catty, there it was! If only that worked for everything..."I wish I had a new deck."...(looks outside...Nope, no new deck).

Trendy Trees and Funky Forest wheel were my favourite sets from the last catalogue and I bought them right away. Sometimes, when we get excited about all the NEW stuff, we forget about old favourites. I still LOVE these sets and decided it was time to play with them again.

I borrowed this set from a friend, but I think it will be on my next order. It's so cute and suits the new in colours so perfectly!
I embossed the "cheers to you" background and also added Dazzling Diamonds to the drinks to make them sparkly.

OK, it's a little early for Thanksgiving...but I just love my new Autumn Days set and just had to use it today. I am not totally in love with this card...but I do like it.
