Took the card and made it better!
So after uploading the card yesterday, I looked at it closer today and decided it wasn't quite right. I decided it needed something hanging, so I made the leaf circle tag. Once that was done, I decided the image needed to stand out better, so I stamped it on white card stock. I think this tweaked version is much better than yesterday's version...what do you think?

New stamps
I got my new stuff from my pre-order (well, most of it). The pheasant set just came Tuesday. I LOVE it. I really wanted this card to have the new Happy Thanksgiving from Teeny Tiny Wishes (also new) but that set didn't come in yet, so I made it into a father's day card.
I used new In Colours: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.

Bon Voyage Blog Hop...stop#5
Welcome to the Bon Voyage Blog Hop, Port of Call #5 brought to you by Stampin' Addicts. I am showing projects made with the stamp set Holiday Trinkets. You have either joined me from stop #4 Kathy's blog or stop #6 Connie's blog...either way you go, you will hop from blog to blog and make a full circle!
This first project uses Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White as the colours. I stamped the images in Versamark and embossed them in silver and white for a very modern twist! I also used the set Many Merry Messages for the sentiment.
I went a little more traditional with this card. Night of Navy, Real Red, So Saffron, Glorious Green and Whisper White. The sentiment is from the french version of Many Merry Messages, called Nombreux Joyeaux Messages.
Finally, I created 3x3 cards that would make great gift tags. I used the soon to be retiring In Colours: Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red. I also added In Colour striped grosgrain ribbon and embellished with buttons from the Button Bouquet collection.
Please leave a comment to be entered to win my blog candy...Yummy stamp set, 1 roll of So Saffron ribbon and 1 roll of Certainly Celery ribbon.

Another flower card
So my scanner is finally working again.
I made this card a few days ago, using the Fifth Avenue Floral set. I also used the Top Note die. To put the ribbon through, I used the horizontal slot punch. I stamped the extra flower, cut out and used dimensionals to pop it up. I put Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the center of the flower.

Manhatten Flower
I finally gave in. I caved. I finally broke down and bought the Fifth Avenue Floral set. I have seen so many awesome projects made with this set I decided I needed it!
I used baja Breeze, Kiwiw Kiss and Riding Hood Red as my colours. The sentiment is from the On Your Birthday set.
Don't forget to check out our Blog Hop beginning June 13, brought to you by Stampin' Addicts!

Good-Bye Train...
The Last Chance List is out which means good-bye, farewell, to retiring stamp sets and accessories. Among those retired stamp sets is this one, Happiness Is a Journey. Usually I use this set with the Soot Stamping technique, but we are doing that technique at my next stamper's club and want it to be a surprise. So I embossed it with black embossing powder instead. I just love this set...very masculine. If you love it also, you have until June 30 to order it before it's gone forever!
You can also check here for the Decor Elements Last Chance List. Again, you have until June 30 to order these.
In honour of the Last Chance List, Stampin' Addicts is hosting a blog hop beginning June 13 to June 16 and I will be one of many stops on this tour. We will be featuring projects made with stamp sets that are retiring. Lots of creativity, fun and maybe some blog candy?
