Do you have a blogging routine? I do.
Every morning, I log in then go the the "Blogs I Visit" list and start visiting them, in alphabetical order. I leave comments on their new posts. In Allison's case, I follow all her links to all the different contests, blog candy, challenges etc...that she posts (her blog I visit several times a day!)I take part in sketch challenges.If I've missed a couple of posts, I will scroll down and comment on those posts as well.
If someone has not updated in a month, I will take them off my list (except Thanh's, because she's too busy "looking for a carreer" to blog! I'll give her a couple more weeks, then that's it! You hear me, Thanh? LOL!). Likewise, if someone "new" visits my blog and comments, I will follow the link to their blog and comment as well, and perhaps even add them to my list!
Once I've completed a sketch challenge, I upload it, then link it to the original poster.
I usually follow this same routine in the afternoon also. What do you guys do?
I have my Google Reader open all day long (it is in my kitchen so I can get real life done too!). I do a major post in the morning of all my finds, update it periodically when time allows and then get down to my own craftiness at night!
ReplyDeleteI leave my Google Reader open most of the day when I'm home, but I am trying to save my major browsing for morning and evenings or I don't get anything done!

ReplyDeleteI don't really have a set routine - I always have my Reader up (now that I've figured out it's so cool!) :-) and when I get a chance I look at the new posts. Sometimes I only have a limited time to peek at blogs, so I don't leave as many comments as I would like! I appreciate them so much on my own blog, I need to be better about "returning the love". :-) Oh and now that I know how easy it is to add people to my Reader with a click of the button, I've been adding more awesome blogs all the time! (so many awesome blogs, so little time... *sigh*...) :-)
ReplyDeleteOn a good day, where I have time to spend on the internet, I go through my list of blogs that I visit everyday, such as family. Every couple of days or so, I try and hit all the other ones that I stalk. I love blogs! ...and I love your blog Michelle.
ReplyDeleteMy computer is in the main traffic area in my house and I usually keep my google reader open. I like to check into blogs in the morning and in the evenings. If life slows down some throughout the day I might check some then also.
